Adoption update-Libra

Libra, a Spanish rescue dog, was cared for by Animals Help for 18 months before there was any interest from someone to adopt him. Libra is a fantastic dog, great with other dogs and people, just like the majority of the dogs at the shelter. Yet, for whatever reason, he was constantly overlooked.

That was until Spanish Happy Tails received a website enquiry from an amazing couple who had fallen in love with Libra and wanted to be his new family. Following a successful application and home check, the next step was arranging transportation.

Libra is a lovely boy, great with people and other dogs, however, Sonia was concerned he may not travel well due to how he had been in the car going to and from the vets in Spain.

Sonia worked with Libra, getting him comfortable going in and out of her vehicle and getting used to travelling.

The feedback from the transporter who transported Libra to the UK was that he was great during transport, with no issues at all. This was all thanks to Sonia recognising that Libra was stressed when he travelled and then putting in the work to help him travel home to the UK. We are grateful to Sonia and Carmen for the time and care they provide for all the rescue dogs they look after in Spain.

We love seeing updates from the rescue dogs from Spain we have helped over the years. We are so grateful that we can stay in their lives, watching from afar, knowing they are now home and loved, for the rest of their days.
